DORIS NEWMAN, ESQ.

Ms. Newman received her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1996 and her BA in Law and Justice from Glassboro State College in 1987. She was employed as a Somerset County Probation Officer for five years prior to entering law school. Before becoming Of Counsel to Maneri and Maroules, LLC in 2008, she was employed by the Rem Zeller law group in Hackensack, New Jersey for ten years primarily aiding individuals accused of Crimes, Disorderly Person Offenses, and serious Motor Vehicle matters like Driving While Intoxicated. 

Ms. Newmans' primary areas of practice include:

• Juvenile Delinquency Defense

• Domestic Violence

• DYFS (Division of Youth and Family Services)

Ms. Newman has served as the Chair of the Supreme Court District IIB Ethics Committee from 2007-2008, its Vice Chair from 2006-2007, and as a Committee Member since 2004.

She is a member of both the Union County and Bergen County Bar Associations where she serves on the Municipal Court and Criminal Practice committees of both. She has served as a Co-Chair of the Bergen County Municipal Court Committee and is an active member of the Juvenile Practice Committee. Since 2007, Ms. Newman has served as the Vice President of the Bergen County Bar Foundation and has held the position of Secretary (2004-2007) and Trustee (1999 to present).
