PATRICK J. O'DEA, ESQ.
Patrick
J. O'Dea joined the firm in 2010 upon his retirement from the
Haworth Police Department in Bergen County. Mr. O'Dea served
nearly 26 years with the Haworth Police Department and retired
as Chief of Police after having served as Chief of Police for
over nine years.
Mr. O'Dea served as President of the Bergen County Police
Chiefs' Association in 2009, and currently serves as an Emeritus
Member of the Bergen County Police Chiefs' Association's
Executive Board.
He received several commendations throughout his career
including recognition from the Bergen County Police Chiefs'
Association, Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD), and the New
Jersey Policemen's Benevolent Association (PBA).
Mr. O'Dea was a member of the first DARE instructor's class held
in New Jersey and was among the first group of officers to be
certified as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).
Mr. O'Dea received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from
John Jay College of Criminal Justice, graduating summa cum
laude. In 2003, he received his law degree from Seton Hall
University School of Law. He was admitted to the New Jersey Bar
in 2003 and to the New York Bar in 2004.
Mr. O'Dea focuses his areas of practice on Criminal Defense,
Municipal Court, DUI Defense, Municipal Employee Contracts and
Family Law.
